Today I found myself on a nostalgia trip to the times ‚when music was still good‘. In the end is still one of my favorite songs, but it has become a sort of guilty pleasure that I only listen to when I feel down. Funnily enough I never understood the song as ’no matter how hard you try nothing matters‘ but rather ‚on a grand scale of things that little problem there doesn’t matter‘.

Back as a teenager I listened to this every day because it was one of maybe 30 songs on my 256MB MP3 player.

Either that means I am not depressed, in over my head and aimless 100% of the time anymore, or I have simply gained access to a whole bunch of other songs.

War, war never changes. It’s the soldiers who do.
